1. Overview

Operations Managers (OMs) play a key role in infrastructure and logistics management, as well as upholding and maintaining the safety and security of the school.

Leading and supervising a team of Operations Support Officers (OSOs), you will directly impact the learning and development of students by ensuring a safe and conducive environment for them.

Responsibilities and Competencies

While the actual job scope of an OM may vary from school to school, the key responsibilities of an OM would include the following:

  • Supervise and manage the maintenance of school facilities to ensure a safe learning environment and lead a team of OSOs for effective school operations.
  • Supervise vendors, including Managing Agents and Term Contractors, for infrastructure/ facilities improvement and maintenance work.
  • Work with Vice-Principal (Administration) and Administration Manager(s) to manage infrastructure-related budget and evaluate infrastructure-related project proposals.
  • Ensure school compliance with safety regulations and implement school safety protocols.
  • Support student discipline-related matters.

Requirements

  • A dynamic and motivated individual with good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in any of the below areas would be an advantage:
    • Estate Management
    • Logistics
    • Safety and Emergency Planning
  • Possess certification as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) or meet the entry requirements for FSM course ().

Salary and Benefits

Your starting salary will range from $3,000 to $5,800.
